We believe fragrance has a way of completely changing a moment. It can make an ordinary Tuesday feel special, turn your home into your favorite place to be, bring back a memory you forgot you had, or simply remind you to slow down for a minute.

That’s what Moody Babe is all about.

Our products are thoughtfully created in small batches with scents inspired by moods, memories, seasons, comfort, and all the little rituals that make life feel a little more like yours. Our candles are hand-poured using 100% soy wax, and everything we create is designed to feel beautiful in your space while still having a little personality.

From Luz Apothecary to Moody Babe

If you've been here for a while, you may remember us as Luz Apothecary.

This little business has grown and changed right alongside me, and eventually I realized the brand needed to grow too.

Luz was created during one chapter of my life. Moody Babe represents the one I'm in now — a little softer, a little bolder, a lot more playful, and much more me.

The name may have changed, but the heart behind the business hasn't.

Everything is still created with intention, poured in small batches, packed with care, and made with the hope that when it arrives at your door, it brings a tiny bit of joy with it.

Meet the Babe Behind the Brand

Hi, I'm Jackie — founder, maker, photographer, label designer, candle pourer, order packer, social media manager, professional scent sniffer, and pretty much every other job at Moody Babe.

Yep. It's a one-woman show around here.

I started this business because I genuinely love creating things that make people feel good. There's something magical about lighting a candle after a long day, finding a scent that instantly becomes your scent, or creating a cozy little corner of your home that feels completely like you.

Behind every Moody Babe order is me — pouring, testing, labeling, packing, creating, dreaming up new ideas, and probably smelling approximately seventeen fragrance oils at the same time.

This brand has been through different seasons, just like I have. I've taken breaks, experienced big life changes, stepped away when I needed to, and eventually found my way back to creating.

Moody Babe is that new chapter.

Less pressure to have everything perfectly together.

More finding joy where we can.

More cozy nights, good smells, little treats, fresh starts, main-character moments, and choosing whatever mood feels right today.
